I did use it with a heating cap, but you can get the same results just using body heat. You might want to cover your hair with a shower cap, and then wrap a heavy towel around the shower cap to retain the body heat. Keep it on for at least a couple of hours, if you can. I hope that helps!

Thank you so much for this i have no words to describe my happiness and appriciation! Thanks for doing this for all of thoose who want to start nursurying our 4b/4a hair. It is because of lack of knowledge that i have not known how to take care of my hair and actually grow it. Even though what i did with my hair as a three year old until i was 13 was in the hands of my mom she was also a victim of not knowing what to do either. Its emberassing not knowing what hair type i have cause its relaxed. Haha and i didn't even know im not supposed to comb my hair when its dry! I agree with you. I have to honest though. I'm tired, it's been a long day. When I saw the picture, I mistakenly thought it was a "double shot" of Beyonce. I thought they were doing a comparison of her with the wig and sans the wig/weave. I went on to ask myself..."Why does the picture of her with the short hair look WAY better...?" Then I woke up and realized it was her sister! I was just telling my husband that everyone cannot pull off the same hairdo. I, look better with my natural hair texture than I do with relaxed hair. I have 3cish hair and it is BIG. I rock curly hair way better than straight hair. Also, I look better with my hair off my face than I do when its hanging down or framing my face. Your inner model comes out when you do you. Love the shoes and I thought she should work on her stance but I think I like it. It doesn't look all fake modelish. I've never had this mush to say about a photo op. Thanks for posting...

This article is cooool but, idk if it helps much because, curl pattern does not affect how well a product works. All of our hair has different chemical composition so it really just depends on what the hair favors and doesn't favor. It is really actually dependent on genetics.

Nordic Naturals is the best brand but can be a little pricey; the price increases as the EPA and DHA amounts increase but the benefits are worth it. A quick fix that has worked for me is to get enteric coated and eat a meal after or mix the liquid in a smoothie or with your salad dressing.

This is a really great site. Congratulations, I am proud of you. I too have been frustrated with my hair and the products available which just seem to do more damage than good for my hair. This is exactly the kind of blog I've been looking for. Hair experiments from a real person with pictures to show! I had the most beautiful curly hair and of course what did I do, I listened to a "curly hair expert" hair dresser who told me to use a light relaxer just to relax the curls and make them more defined. Anyhoo, it was cute the first day, dry the next week and splitting a few week after that. Needless to say I haven't had the courage to chop it all off and start fresh. But now that I have found this site, I have so many glamorous options. Thank you Karen!

No, that was actually done by curling iron. My natural hair wouldn't curl that loosely with any sort of flexi rod or wet set. God bless those whose hair can. :-)
